Candidates should compulsorily be present for interview on the scheduled date notified by the Vidyapeeth before the Research Committee.Only after recommendation of the Related Departmental Research Committee (Research Director, Head of the Department, Faculty Head and senior Member of the Department) successful candidates of written entrance test will be called for interview by the Research Department.Students are trained to work on the linguistic aspects of samhitās, contextual interpretations, authenticity of existing translations and encouraged to generate data useful for pre-clinical research, based on original texts. The purpose of examination will be to test the understanding of concepts rather than mere memorization.
Lecturer of the respective Departments of each faculty will be the Director of their concerned subjects.
But the Vice Chancellor may permit lecturers of inter related subjects (as described in part iii) above) to become the Research Director.
Such students are awarded Vidyavaridhi after successful completion of their research work followed by regorous assessment of research output and viva voce in convocation of the Vidyapeetha. (Doctors of Philosophy) will also be mentioned in the Vidya Varidhi Certificates. This certificate will be made according to the 'Chakravarti' title (first ancient research title) conferred on Kashi Hindu University.
The name of the first research programme title of the Vidyapeeth will be "Vidya Varidhi". In first part of the Certificate 'Vidya Varidhi' will be written in Sanskrit and second part will be in English wherein Ph. For registration to 'Vidya Vridhi' Curriculum candidates should qualify the written entrance examination held by the Vidyapeeth itself or should qualify NET exam. Lecturers of this Vidyapeeth having more than 5 years teaching experience and who have passed M.
A/ Acharya with minimum of 50% Marks, if desire for registration to 'Vidya Varidhi' curriculum may be permitted for registration by the recommendation of Departmental Research Committee without appearing for the written entrance examination and interview. Candidates are required to submit their filled in prescribed application forms mentioning therein their educational qualification(s) and Department (the subject in which he requires for research) by the due date.
Candidates who have appeared for the final year of examination (required qualification for registration to Vidya Varidhi) in the month of May-June may appear at the written entrance examination of Vidya Varidhi. of alternative objective questions of 20 marks and for another 30 marks 4 essay type questions of 15 marks each will be set out of which candidates have to answer two questions only.Keeping this in view, a unique research oriented Department of Sanskrit Studies was established in 2006 which will act as an interface between Sanskrit and the sub-fields of the Humanities, Social Science and the Sciences. The goal of Ayurveda discipline is to conduct literary research in Ayurveda to redefine the concept of 'svāsthya' besides establishing an interdisciplinary dialog between Sanskrit, philosophy and medicine. The questions will be on vyakarna/ linguistics and on general Sanskrit. Program extends over a minimum period of two years from the date of confirmation of admission.However, such candidates are required to produce certificate of required qualification (Acharya or M. with essential percentage of marks) for registration to Vidya Varidhi before the first meeting of the Selection Committee for registration to Vidya Varidhi otherwise getting through the entrance examination will confer no right to such candidates for registration to Vidya Varidhi Curriculum.
